TECNO Camon 12 Air is the newest member of the Camon series which was launched in Lagos, Nigeria. The device shares a close resemblance to the Camon 12 and 12 Pro which are the higher variants.
The Tecno Camon 12 Air share same design with the Camon 12. It comes with a glossy polycarbonate unibody that measures 8.7 mm in thickness and weighs 179 grams.
On the back of the Camon 12 Air is a fingerprint reader, triple camera setup with Quad-LED single-tone flash and the Tecno brand name which is underneath the camera.
The Tecno Camon 12 Air features a Dot-in display which is popularly known as a punch-hole display. The display measures 6.55 inches and features 720p resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 263 PPI density. The touchscreen allows up to 5 fingers. Overall, the display is protected by scratch-resistant glass, which isn’t bad for a budget device.
Hardware and Software
The Camon 12 Air is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC which is built on 12nm manufacturing processing technology. The chip features PowerVR GE8320 and 2.0GHZ QUAD-core processor.
The device is only available in one memory variant which is 3GB RAM paired with 32GB internal storage. For additional storage, there is a microSD slot which allows up to 500GB storage. The Camon 12 Air runs on HiOS 5.5 custom skin which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
The Tecno Camon 12 Air features an 8MP selfie camera with dual-LED flash. The rear triple camera module is home to a 16MP main sensor, 5MP ultrawide sensor and 2MP depth sensor.
The rear camera features Quad-LED single-tone flash with other beautification features like HDR, panorama, autofocus, face detection e.t.c
The Camon 12 Air sports a non-removable Li-Ion 4,000 mAh battery. It doesn’t support wireless charging, which is not surprising but does support fast charging
